The CAL Final Report is a 2,500-word document (beyond the critical literature review and problematising write-up) that details how you approached identifying, reflecting upon and planning to research your workplace-based problem; addressed issues encountered during the research design and decision-making process; and outcomes from the process. Note that in this module, the focus of the CAL Final Report is not a critical action learning project as you have pursued in previous modules. Rather, the focus is on conceptualising and evaluating options for studying a particular workplace-based problem through a research process, which may or may not incorporate action research approaches. Additionally, the report should detail how you have applied the learning in this module and have integrated your understanding of management research methods into your organisational practice and the research process.
As such, the final report:

May be written in first or third person;
·
Provides a narrative account of the iterative process of engaging with management research concepts to achieve enhanced understanding and potential resolution of your workplace-based problem;
·
Identifies the steps taken to formulate research questions, choose research approaches, methods, and tools, and set research goals;
·
Indicates how the literature informed the process of reviewing, evaluating, and making decisions about research methods in the context of your identified problem;
·
Indicates how dialogue and activities in the Learning Set informed this process;
·
Addresses a plan for putting chosen research approaches into practice and linking your research goals with your goals for taking action in your professional setting.
