By now, you should have an understanding about the 3 branches of government – executive, legislative and judicial. With regards to laws, the legislative branch makes the laws, the executive branch enforces the laws, and the judicial branch interprets the laws. The reason we have these “separation of powers” is so no one sector of the government can overly influence or overpower and take command of the others.
